Egyptian Propylene & Polypropylene (EPP) is Egypt's and North Africa's largest and only integrated producer. EPP was established in 2005 by the late and renowned Egyptian businessman Mr. Farid Khamis, a pioneer in Egypt's carpentry sector, who long served as the company's Chairman. Since our establishment, we have committed ourselves to providing the Egyptian and global markets with world-class polypropylene products and services. Additionally, we support local businesses with key import substitutes that position Egypt as a key global supplier across our geographic footprint.
EPP is strategically located in Egypt, with our production facility on the Mediterranean in the coastal city of Port Said, connecting Asia and Europe via the Suez Canal. Our facilities have an annual polypropylene production capacity of 350,000 tons. We produce propylene through propane dehydrogenation (PDH) using the STAR process technology licensed by Uhde — the first commercial use of the technology in the world. Our polypropylene plant uses LyondellBasell's leading Polypropylene Spheripol Technology to convert propylene to polypropylene.

EPP has the capability to produce copolymer products and produces a variety of grades of homopolymers, catering to a wide range of end-products. Our location allows us to supply our products across a wide geographical reach that spans from Turkey, where we have a leading market presence, to China, Europe and Latin America. We capitalize on Egypt's numerous free and preferential trade agreements, such as Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), European Free Trade Association (EFTA), Mercado Común del Sur (MERCOSUR) and Turkey Free Trade agreement.
